1) The Main program is open to all current players on the fall roster, midyear Senior’s that transfer in, anyone set to graduate in 2027 or on track to complete a master’s program. (To comply with the new 5 in 5 NCAA ruling). Also, anyone drafted and/or signed by the MLB while at Winthrop University

2) The underclassman program is designed to offer targeted help to our Athletes. Enrollment can be anytime, we can be of assistance, to your journey as a Winthrop baseball member.

Our story

The Mentoring Program was developed to offer our student athlete's access to the vast talent in the baseball alumni network. We have in excess of 100 business professionals, business owners, CEO's, Doctors, Lawyers and Sales Professional's willing to mentor our young men as they enter the workforce. No career is out of our reach to assist with.

Our history

The Mentoring program was the vision of several former players with a heart to give back to the baseball program. After a brief planning period, in 2024, the program started to gain support and planning began in the Fall of 2024. Our first endeavor began in 2025, as a test, with the graduating Senior class. In the short period of time, we connected with  four players. In 2026, we kicked off our first full year and raised that number to seven. We have seen amazing success with placement. 2027 IS LINING UP TO BE OUR BEST EVER!
